Affiliate Disclosure
Plain English · FTC-aligned · placement rules published
The relationship in one sentence
We may earn a commission when you search or book on Kayak through our links.
That is the whole arrangement: halfway.travel is a participant in Kayak's affiliate program, some pages link to Kayak searches, and qualifying activity from those links can earn us a commission.
What that means
Commission is earned per qualifying click or booking as defined by Kayak's
program terms. The links look like ordinary kayak.com addresses with an
aid parameter on the end — that parameter is the tag that identifies
the traffic as ours. It is visible in the link, adds nothing about you, and hides
nothing about where you are going: you always see kayak.com in your browser.
Placement policy
Links are capped by template — at most two placements on a rules page, none at
all on support pages like this one, and the answer always precedes the offer. Every
affiliate link carries rel="sponsored" so search engines and browsers
can identify it as commercial. A disclosure sentence sits next to the first link on
every page that has one, and the site footer repeats it.
FTC compliance
This disclosure follows the FTC's endorsement guides: a clear statement of the material connection, placed where you will see it before you click, in plain language. We recommend data and tools, not products; no brand pays for placement, and commission never influences which towns, times or rules appear on a page — those come from computation and cited sources only.
The standard snippet
This exact sentence appears beside the first affiliate link on every page:
We may earn a commission when you search Kayak through our links.
